I just listened to Obama speaking at the opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. He shared his values:
- Honesty
- Integrity
- Kindness
- Compassion
- Sense of duty
- Honour
And that they matter in our public dealings, just as they do in our private lives. We feel the same way about values in our business dealings and strive to maintain our values in all our work.
Something else in Obama’s speech also resonated which was “everyone has a story to tell if you just care to listen.” We often are so busy trying to get things done, we can miss what’s most important.”
